I have learned that BLOGS are a web log; a personal journal that is frequently updated. These blogs are for general public consumption, and can be used for class schedules, homework, student work, and connections to other classrooms and parent. You can personalize the blogs according to your preferences. As a future teacher I would be open to using blogs in the classroom only after intense training. Students will need to be supervised, and work will have to be viewed by me before it gets published. I am open to using technology, however, my biggest concern is that students obtain the basic skills needed to be successful in life. Students must first be proficient with their writing.

  1. I wholeheartedly agree. We will hopefully find that with the writing proficiency will come proficiency in all genres. As future teachers we will be responsible for the success of all of our students. They in turn, will become future doctors, lawyers, architects, and yes, teachers. And when they do, imagine the technological advances they will have to grasp and further their careers and enable them to become responsible citizens.
